PRESIDENTS REPORT - MARCH 2017

The prime objectives of our Committee are: good governance and the fulfilment of members’ expectations.

This been said, our Committee kicked off the year with two positive meetings - with constructive input from all.

Two initiatives worth mentioning are the creation of this Local Magazine and the introduction of a new communication system.

The Magazine, initiative of Colin Plit (of Colin and Jane fame) will be published on a regular basis with mostly local content. This magazine will not replace the bi-annual National Magazine.

Secondly, Rory Mitchell introduced a new electronic system with the objective of easier and more efficient communication with the members. Said system was used to remind the members to renew their Annual Subscription and afforded them the opportunity to pay by means of a credit card facility. The system is proving to be a great success realising a 90% renewal at the end of January 2017 – a new record!.................. Thank you all for renewing your Membership.

On the subject of Membership, I am happy to report that our Club has grown by 60 new members since June 2016 – we are now over 200 strong.

A huge Thank You to Colin and Rory for their efforts !

The 2017 Calendar is out and available – please check for Official events, Racing  events , The Porsche Parade in East London, Simola Hill Climb Knysna, Xmas in July, various outings and Track days.

2017 promises to be a fantastic fun filled year for The Porsche Club Cape.

We hope to see as many of you as possible at these events and please do not hesitate to contact either me or one of the Committee members if you require any further information.

Best wishes

Ken Wentzel
