The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge has fast become a global phenomenon since it started in July. It is all for a good cause.


The aim is to raise awareness around Lou Gehig’s Disease. This is an illness that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord.


The dare is to be drenched in icy water and make a donation to an ALS charity of your choice.


I was inspired when I saw ex-springbok scrumhalf Jooste van der Westhuizen take up this challenge last week and thought what a fitting way to do something good via our Cape Town Porsche Club and make such donation to a charity of our choice.


I got drenched on a Saturday in Arniston on a very cold day... and it was COLD! I can vouch for it. Check out the pictures...
